What Are the Top Selling Brands on Nordstrom.com?
Nordstrom, Inc. is a leading fashion retailer offering compelling clothing, shoes and accessories for men, women and kids. Since 1901, Nordstrom has been committed to providing their customers with the best possible service—and to improving it every day.
In this article, we are going to take a look at the category distribution on Nordstrom.com. We scraped over 600 subcategories from Nordstrom.com around mid April 2022, hoever, Nordstrom.com is a quite complicated site to scrape. It's probably not possible to scrape the data with a traditional python scraper. The raw data used in this article is collected with our AI based web mining technology. We scraped a total of 605 subcategories from Nordstrom. Let's plot a bar chart of the top 16 subcategories by number of products:
It appears that, shrits subcategory under from Men-->Clothing is the largest subcategory by product count.
Following Men/Clothing/Shirts, it's Women/Accessories/Jewelry subcategory taking the 2nd place.
Let's rollup the category one level up, Women's clothing is largest category, followed closely with Men's Clothing category. The 3rd place Women's Shoes is only half the size of Women's clothing.
